Side-Lighting Design

Unlike top-emitting LED strips that shine light upward or downward, the ILED-NT1 is designed for side illumination. Can the NT1 be bent into shapes?
Yes. The silicone jacket is fully flexible and can be bent by hand into curves, arcs, and custom shapes. Minimum bend radius is approximately 30 mm. Mark the desired shape on the silicone before installing the LED strip, then slide the strip in and secure the ends.

Is the NT1 suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The NT1 is rated IP67 and made from UV-resistant food-grade silicone, making it suitable for outdoor signage, façade lighting, and landscape installations. Ensure the LED strip you pair with it is also rated for outdoor use (IP65 or higher) and that all connections are properly sealed.

What is the difference between the NT1 and the ILED-COB series?
The NT1 is a silicone cover that requires a separate LED strip — it is not a self-contained light source. The ILED-COB series (13918, 13921, 13929, 13475) are complete LED strip products with built-in LEDs. If you need a finished neon tube, combine the NT1 with a compatible COB or SMD strip. If you need a flat strip for cove or under-cabinet lighting, choose a COB model directly.

Bending and installation. — The NT1 bends by hand with a minimum radius of approximately 30 mm. Mark your desired shape on the silicone before inserting the LED strip — once the strip is inside, adjustments are difficult. Secure the neon tube to its mounting surface using stainless steel clips or adhesive-backed mounting channels compatible with the 10 mm width.

Outdoor installation requires sealed connections. — While the NT1 silicone jacket is IP67, the LED strip connections (power input, splices, and controller joints) must also be waterproofed. Use IP67-rated connector caps and silicone sealant at all exposed joints. Failure to seal connections will compromise the IP67 rating.
